| News Comment | McCarthy: Bart's the Best in the Championship at 06:12:12
Anyone else find this one strange? When the fans were calling for Bart to be made number 1 MM still persisted with Gherkin and assured everyone else that he knew better than the fans. He refused to put Bart back in as the fans wanted it and now Bart is the best keeper in the championship! Just about sums up MM, stubborn to a fault |

Problem is they count season ticket holders whether they turn up or not, so never a true reflection. Excluding away fans it would be interesting to know how many tickets they sell before each game, that would be a true reflection, my thought here is that it is minimal and declining. I wont go again until MM is gone that is for sure. |

We will probably win 1 - 0 on Tuesday night with a goal deflected of Dougie's backside and Mick will take that as justification for his selection and style of play and call for the fans to get behind the team again. Sorry but with the dross entertainment it is just not about results, we want to look forward to going to a match, not feel we are going out of a sense of obligation. Let's get people in proper positions, add some pace and creativity in central midfield and let the opposition worry about us for a change. Let's hear comments like, "Burton will find this a step up and need to ready for the challenge we will provide. We have strength in depth and will be going all out for a win and a good performance"etc, not bleat on about good players, false position, good manager etc etc. Whilst he talks about different class, I was lucky to see Ipswich in the late 70's early 80's and Wark, Muhren, Thijssen, now that really is different class to anything before or since |

Mick, they are second bottom of the league, I would expect us to create chances. As for the striker situation, you sold Murphy, why didn't you have a replacement lined up. As for Chambers at right back and dropping a proper right back, incredible. And for a creative centre midfield pairing, words just fail me... Seems Dougie is not the answer to our goal scoring problems then! sorry but I won't attend another game whilst this stubborn man is in charge. We surely cannot all be wrong can we?? |

What I liked about Mick when he came is was "round pegs in round holes", i.e. he got in a right sided defender and pushed Carlos Edwards forward from right back. Now we have four centre halves, two playing as left and right defence! So if it was "round pegs in round holes" before why not know? In front of them four workmanlike midfielders and yet again dour and depressing football. We need proper defenders in each position and a creative midfielder and a creative winger.....then we may look a threat going forward rather than hoof it football in the land of the giants |
