This quote from Burley for me sums up exactly what we need to be doing in our approach. When I lived in Ipswich just after the 9-0 debacle through to the 2nd second season in the prem and was a season ticket holder throughout that time it was a delight to go to games. Yes there were some bad games, losses when we should have won. But it was always fun and exciting to go. On the occasions I have been to Portman road over the last few years or to away grounds it is more with a feeling of dread.

“For me, you don’t go out just to win. That sounds silly, but what I’m saying is you go out looking to perform and then the win should be a by-product of that. You have to believe in the players and encourage them to express themselves. That’s what fans pay their money for.”
