Praise the opposition even if they aren't on a great run ✅
Kiss Gerkens arse ✅
Praise the opposition fans ✅
Claim it's tough to play against 10 men even though he claimed the result was decided when we went down to 10 men at Fulham ✅
Tell the fans to f**k off ✅
Yeah cheers for that Mick 👍🏻

McCarthy: I Can't Make People Come to Games, I Can Only Try to Affect Results
at 20:12:59

Goon what a load of tosh you talk, if you are saying he's never played favourites, had a dig at the fans or played hoofball then I can only presume you are a very deaf Stevie Wonder. Your'e backing him for the sake of it there knowing full well what you are saying is incorrect.
He HAS picked favourites.
He HAS produced awful one dimensional Hoofball.
He HAS dug the fans out regularly.
Everybody has seen and heard all of the above. I'd get your eyes and ears tested if I were you Mr Superfan

McCarthy: I Can't Make People Come to Games, I Can Only Try to Affect Results
at 16:11:36

The decent start we have had is too little too late in many fans eyes, he has burned too many bridges, me included over the last 2 seasons for a number of reasons, setting up not to lose, worrying about the opposition first, playing players out of position, destroying some of their careers in the meantime with Sears being a huge example of this.
Picking favourites over better players in the squad because they are "proper blokes"
Playing turgid boring hoofball, digging the fans out after games because they have the gall to point out all the above.
It went on too long and some of us have said enough enough we aren't going back until the club has a philosophy change.
A few wins against poor teams won't bring those people back while he's in charge. Simple as.

Season Ticket Sales Boost
at 21:14:55

Swn98 the same "moaners" who cancelled their season tickets in the 1st place which forced the club into action hence the extra effort in the transfer market and the cheaper tickets, freebies etc, because they wouldn't have done jack if it hadn't been for us, you are very welcome...

Season Ticket Sales Boost
at 18:16:28

Sorry but I simply don't believe 1,000 who initially cancelled decided to renew just because the early bird was extended. This is just spin from the club trying to make out things are better than they are. More effort has been made regarding transfers this year but most who didn't renew did it because they were bored of turgid negative football and a manager who digs them out in interviews week after week, a few signings will not have been enough to tempt them back.
Saturdays crowd will have been boosted by 2,000 Brum fans, 1,000 free tickets and on the day sales from people who have gone without football all summer who will soon drop off.
Its a good start to the season but it was only against a poor Birmingham side, as soon as we get beat comprehensively he will revert back to trying to bludgeon results out, let's talk about attendances come November, I'm sure they will be 13,000 tops.
And as for people like you Bluebell I hope you enjoy it now the realists have gone and your surrounded by happy clappers who put up with anything, Mick and the team were booed last season because they deserved to be, they were a disgrace to the club, simple as.

Charlton 6-1 Town - Match Report
at 17:18:32

Friendly or not this is a sign of things to come I'm afraid, we may have signed a few players in the summer but they aren't gona get you out of The Championship, and nothing will change style or tactics wise while Mr Mogadons in charge, he doesn't have the ability to coach any other way, hence why 2,000 of us didn't renew our season tickets.
You can sign more players in pre-season than normal, lower matchday prices, give free tickets away to nurses etc etc etc but while you have an anti-football man at the helm the whole club is just sleepwalking into League 1, simple as that.

Town Closing in on Huws Signing
at 21:01:59

Decent signing but I'm not getting carried away. Huws and Spence were both here 2nd half of last season and were still awful so they aren't actually improving the squad.
The Kosovan lad looks promising but Garners record in this league is bang average, as it stands I still see a 14th to 22nd finish.

Season Tickets Still Available at Early Bird Prices
at 19:16:24

I didn't renew when it was early bird prices, I'm still not renewing now it's early bird prices, I'm not setting foot in Portman Rd until McCarthy is gone, its as simple as that, it's about making a stand.
Seen some of the "super fans" saying non renewers are throwing a strop etc, way off the mark, despite the negative cowardly tactics, despite the turgid Jurassic football, despite players being picked on like ability and not ability it's still killed me to give my ST up.
I've had it 9 years, for 22 years prior to that I was doing 300 mile round trips 10 or 11 times a season to home games, I couldn't wait to get my ST when I moved closer.
But I'm not contributing to what will be a carbon copy season of last season. We will finish somewhere between 15th and 20th, with negative team sheets, fans moaning about it, Mick
digging us out in every post match interview, getting hammered and outclassed by the better teams, scraping wins against some lower teams, Milne telling us how great Mick us and Evans doing absolutely nothing about any of ur because we are just a tax loss to him.
They can slightly lower matchday prices, ( and let's admit it is a very small decrease) all they like and keep the early bird going until Christmas, whether you are paying a penny for crap or a million quid for crap it's still crap!

Blues to Face Drogheda in Pre-Season
at 11:55:20

geminimustang he did not play expansive football at the start of the season and get beat. He only tried to play a bit of football at home against Rotherham after the fans had had enough of it and turned.
Due to his inability to coach a team how to play football we struggled to a 2-2 draw in a toxic atmosphere.
He then returned to his one dimensional 2 defensive midfielders in a team, Skuglas are different class, lump it up and hope for the best, bludgeon the opposition into a 0-0 draw tactics right up until the Newcastle game.
He doesn't let them play football cus he doesn't have the ability to coach them at it, its as simple as that, if you are a poor footballer or a dogged type player it doesn't matter how crap you are, if you put a shift in and are a " proper bloke" he will pick you.

Steijn: I'm on List of Possible New Ipswich Bosses
at 22:33:35

I see the same old people using the same old lack of budget excuse.
Money means nothing if you don't have the ability to coach a team to play football.
Which Mick clearly doesn't have.
Please explain to me how lack of budget explains playing Chambers at right back for 3 and a half years to avoid picking 2 from 3 centre halves? The amount of goals we conceded due to him being exposed was ridiculous.
During that period Johnny Parr was treated like crap to accommodate him and ended up leaving because he knew he should have been playing, a few months later Mings was sold, Parr could have slotted in nicely at left back but instead we ended up wasting money on the plodder that is Knudsen, all because he couldn't pick 2 from 3.
Another thing lack of budget doesn't excuse is playing Sears as a winger for 18 months destroying his confidence, and then there's "Different class" Dougie. That man has played over 50 games for this club and every time there has been a better option.
Yes there isn't a lot of money but he signs these players after watching them for their clubs or in trial periods with us. Douglas,Coke,Best,Bajner,Malarczyk, Digby, Knudsen, Moore, are just some examples of wasted wages, all signed by him when there's better players available out there.
He loves having no cash, he loves it, he thinks it gives him the excuse to play 2 defensive midfielders all the time, even at home against lowly opposition.
He plays to nick games 1-0 after bludgeoning the opposition for 90 minutes because that's all he's capable of, even if you have him 20 million quid he'd just buy 20 million quids worth of Douglas and Skuse type players, he can't coach proper footballers.
So yes I'm prepared for this Dutch fellow to come in if that's what happens because right now I'd take a potato in a tracksuit over a man who has nothing but contempt for the clubs fans and is the reason there will be less than 10,000 of them in the ground every home game next year if he's still here.

Milne: Massive Rebuilding Over the Summer
at 23:08:13

They know exactly how many ST's have been renewed, they just don't want to admit how poor the total is.
If you consider that theyve been claiming 15,000 have been there all season when there's only really been about 13,000, that's 2,000 ST holders per game not showing up, probably on a rotational basis so it's more likely to be 2,500 who have picked and chose their games to attend.
If they all cancel plus about another 1,000 the total will be about 8,000. Add away fans and match day sales and they will be lucky to be running out infront of 10,000 every single game.
It's a mess, a huge mess and the only way they will get those people back me included would be to sack MM, and give the job to a young manager with a footballing philosophy, they then need to extend the early bird deadline.
If they don't then I can only see us doing a Coventry next season

Town Visit Rotherham With a Spring in Their Step
at 11:20:40

geminimustang that's a ludicrous comment. Ive been going to Portman Rd since 1986. I'm not a sky generation fan who expects to win every game.
But what i do expect is my club to be managed by somebody who can actually coach a team on the training pitch to play football by passing the ball and moving, not lumping it whilst trying to bludgeon the opposition into a 0-0 draw.
I also wouldn't expect said manager to pick 2 defensive midfielders 90% of the time, play a centre half at right back for 3 and a half years exposing him, take a hungry goalscoring striker and shunt him on the wing for 18 months or pick total donkeys over better players just because they are "proper blokes".
