Price on McCarthy's Head
at 13:34:35

For those expecting signings in January can I remind you of the Financial Fair Play regulations that the club has said it will comply with, that means any incomings will be balanced by outgoings, assuming anybody else would like to buy some of our players.

Of course if the gates were higher and/or we were receiving some major sponsorship money that could be used for funding, but we're not so the chances of too much action is highly unlikely.

IMO the general downsizing of the club shows that Marcus has settled on the status quo of the last couple of seasons.

Hard to understand how that fits in with any future strategy for him but I don't expect he is going to enlighten us anytime soon on that.

O'Neill May Not Be Shoo-In For Ireland Job

There is a degree of irony in all this for Marcus Evans, based in Dublin surely he should have some influence on the decision!

McCarthy: Up to Us to Get Crowds Back to Portman Road
at 09:13:49

To say if we are doing well the crowds will return is stating the bleeding obvious, but we have to be realistic, we are not Man Utd and we won't always be doing well, and that is why price is such an important factor. Add in the fact you can't buy a ticket on the telephone, unlike any other Prem or Champ club, and there is hardly any service now from a shrunken ticket office is it a surprise that the crowds are so low. And do you know what Mick McCarthy you should look at prices at other clubs for this working class game and then let Evans know your thoughts on having to play in front of shrinking crowds. Get a grip Ipswich Town

Block D Seats Most Expensive in Football League
at 11:34:24

At most events the tickets that sell quickest are the top and bottom ends, the magic is shifting the middle priced which are normally the majority. Perhaps some of those middle priced ones could be priced to join the bottom end ones. But as Evans has never lowered the prices of anything in the 4 years he has had the club it doesn't look likely to happen

Confident first home match. Home form has cost us over the last 4 seasons, got to keep it up for a better season

Smith: Andy's a Top Man

A filler story for a short on news day, you wold hardly expect him to be criticising the fitness coach, who appears to be doing his job!

Return to Adidas Temporary
at 15:10:32

Might be a temporary measure but indicates what kit will definitely be worn next season I reckon, these deals are done at least a season in advance. Hardly likely to wear Adidas if Nike were going to be the supplier.

Great choice as well because if you see the Club shops or any other outlet where Adidas is the supplier the layouts and displays are great, not like the amateur offering the Club shop manager puts out at the moment.

Redundancies as Town Restructure Ticketing
at 20:35:39

I have read this several times now to try to work out what has happened. To say it has been streamlined is an understatement. No telephone sales. No collections. No picking a seat near your mates close to kick off on a match day as the tickets on the turnstiles will just be some random bunch. And the prices are just so high. The whole thing seems like a bloody great hurdle to get in to a half full stadium!

TWTD Questionnaire 2012/13 Results Now Online
at 16:02:58

I like the mention from Phil of John Ford in the ticket office question. As he is one of the redundancies from there I don't suppose he will be quite as bothered to get a gold star. Be interesting to see the response to the question next season, well actually it would be good to see the answers to all the questions
