| News Comment | Leeds Thrashed at QPR at 08:52:47
Forgot Leeds were playing last night, only just seen the result. FARKE IN HELL! QPR played a blinder. I must thank my QPR supporting friend. Keep calm, play our system, with relentless away support over the next 2 away games we will do this. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We're Pretty Stretched at 15:47:30
KMcK has worked wonders with this squad to get us where we are with just 5 games to go. And Leicester & Leeds must have a few injured, suspended or ill. Nobody keeps a 25 man squad fully available near the end, do they ? We can do this. |
| News Comment | Stoke City 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 20:29:08
Initially I had thought our luck had run out for Christmas what with the injuries, illness and suspensions forcing more team changes than KMcK would have liked and getting through the week with 3 consecutive draws but then on reflection I thought of the luck we've had as well: Morsy's double deflected goal in injury time, 3 recent penalties that could have been given against us and today's weird red card to reduce Stoke. You could say we've been lucky to get 3 points when in the Marcus Evans era that would have been a hard-fought 0 points. The Sky pundits before the game were discussing the 2nd auto-promotion place and all 5 of them predict Leeds or Southampton will get it. They've written us off again. I like it when they underestimate us, we tend to do better as underdogs. I hope the team see that Sky clip for the extra motivation. Now let's get that replacement striker in January and kick on with our great squad of players and give Leeds and Southampton a contest in the second half of the season. Whether we do it or not it should be the most exciting season we've had for 20 years. Get behind the team, whoever's in it and enjoy the ride! |
| News Comment | McKenna: A Difficult Build-Up and Not a Great Game at 09:04:42
No need to panic, just an unfortunate combination of things have happened. Being forced to make that many changes to our starting 11 and expecting easy wins is a bit much. I'm convinced our so-called fringe players would all come good if they started a few games in succession. I'd rather we keep the squad as it is. If we were to go out & buy 4 new players in January just because of a perceived wobble over Christmas then we'd still have to go through squad upheaval and a 'gelling' period of games which would take just as long if not longer than playing fringe players into form. We need to ride this out with the squad we have. Only addition should be another striker like Hirst. |

Is the top secret, behind closed dorrs match going on right now ? Do we find out any match details or does it stay hidden in the Town vault for 50 years or forever ? |
| News Comment | Hirst Signing Confirmed at 23:43:29
Now we are dancing. We are not far off a squad that could tickle the playoffs. Sorry I've been on the sauce tonight. |
| News Comment | McKenna: There Will Be Movement Both Ways at 12:09:24
I think we'd be ok to start the season with what we already have, not ideal, but we'd do ok. Another striker would be great but I think we can shuffle the pack with all our No 10s as False 9s and see how we start. Ball could be the extra cover in defence we already have. Let's see how this squad steps up as a whole for the first few games. Changes will perhaps be more obvious by the time the January transfer window comes around. |
| News Comment | MacAnthony: Taylor to Join Town? Don't Expect It at 12:37:30
That's right I don't think we expect it. I believe we have already moved on. I'd have serious reservations about a signing a midfielder from a team who let a 4-0 lead to Sheffield Wednesday get overturned. |
