| News Comment | Rugby World Cup Could Still Come to Town at 17:02:55
Swansea, Reading and Wigan all share with rugby clubs with code or another. All of these are in the Premiership. Watford share with Sarries, but are higher than us in the league. Cardiff shared last season, and finished above us. And Manchester United seem to be getting on fine despite the odd show-piece game at Old Trafford. Maybe some of you should take your blinkers off and see what a massive boost this would be for the local economy. Am sure the business, and people employed by them, would love a massive influx of thousands of people into the area. |
| News Comment | Edwards Players' Player of the Year at 12:29:56
Mark added 08:01 - Apr 25 I would have voted for Edwards, he's had a good season (defensive woes aside) and been a much better captain than Leadbitter. As for Eastman, I think we might have been hasty in letting him go as he was forced to play at right-back at such an early age when he's a centre back, one of the maddest things Keane did. Eastman was awful there, but he is so young and may yet be a decent-ish centre back. _____________________________________________________________________ Except Keane didn't release Eastman did he? He left because Jewell only offered him a short-term deal |
| News Comment | Town Again Linked With West Brom Striker Cox at 12:53:52
My girlfriend and all her family are Sheffield Wednesday fans so I have seen a fair bit of Madine. I really rate him, and have said on more than one occasion that he would be a good fit at Ipswich. Other half's Dad, a ST holder there, isn't as impressed and thinks he will turn into a journey man kicking about the lower leagues. |
| News Comment | Barnsley Game Live on Sky at 12:35:47
Obviously won't affect me as much of those travelling from Suffolk and beyond, but Sky really don't have fans in mind when they move their kick-off times do they? |
| News Comment | Jewell: Location Can Hit Loans at 13:46:19
PJ still has a property in Menston, which is about 10miles away from Leeds, but classed as Bradford. Before he joined us he was seen pretty much everyday in a certain pub avidly reading a copy of the Racing Post. |
| News Comment | Town Watching West Brom Defender at 10:52:26
Don't know a great deal about him. Hopefully Gmac and Fulop can sell the club to him if true. I wonder if we tried to secure him as part of the Fulop deal? If not, and we are genuinely interested, why not? |
| News Comment | Sonko Waiting for Town Offer at 08:51:04
Anyone who says they would Dialla over Delaney and Smith clearly wasn't up Upton Park for the play-offs. |
| News Comment | Fab Back in Town at 16:07:47
I hope PJ has a word in his hear about any up and coming dutch talent that our scouts may have missed. |
| News Comment | Ferguson\'s Successor Announced at 16:11:24
Fully expecting idiots to start flouncing how this 'lacks ambition' and we should have been after a groundsman with Premier League experience. Best of luck Ben, like you say you have big boots to fill, but I'm sure you'll do a great job. |
| News Comment | Gomez Leaves Town at 16:05:13
Not a massive surprise, and I wish him well. Although it's not an ideal time for him to leave, pre-season is where where fitness coaches earn their crust. Hope PJ can get somebody in soon. |
| News Comment | Kilkenny\'s Agent Confirms Town Interest at 09:30:19
The fact he talks about the attributes and pedigree of McClaren, Pearson and Howe but not Jewell suggests he won't be coming to Portman Road |
