Full-back or midfielder Shane O’Connor has been named in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their friendly with Portugal in Águeda on Friday 25th March.

The Cork-born youngster is yet to win an U21 cap having been pulled out of squads with a hamstring injury and a suspected bout of appendicitis this season.
