QPR Make Bullard Loan Approach
QPR Make Bullard Loan Approach
Friday, 8th Jul 2011 11:52

QPR are reported to have made a loan approach to Hull City for midfielder Jimmy Bullard, who spent a successful spell with the Blues last season. The Tigers are said to have told Neil Warnock’s newly-promoted club that they would only sanction such a switch if they were prepared to pay his £45,000-a-week wage in full.

Bullard is believed to have spoken to the Loftus Road club earlier in the summer and is thought to be keen on the potential move.

Town are also claimed to still be interested in the former Wigan and Peterborough man, who said a return to Portman Road would make him “very happy” earlier in the week, but that may not now be the case with Lee Bowyer set to sign a two-year deal on Monday and Bullard’s friend and former Hull team-mate George Boateng currently training with the Blues.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson has confirmed that his club has received interest in striker Ched Evans, who has been linked with Town, Leicester, Norwich and Middlesbrough: “We’ve had a few calls about Ched. Like Darius [Henderson], he’s a player who needs to resurrect his career and get it back on track. And you can’t blame the lad for wanting to do that.”

Elsewhere, former Blue Hermann Hreidarsson has signed a new one-year deal with Portsmouth.

Now at last we'll see how, ahem, 'loyal' Jimmy is to his 'beloved Town' (sic)

Sign up or shut up!!! Simple.

Good luck if this comes off JB. Would have loved to see you back pulling the strings at PR next season but a last bash at the premier league must be appealing. Make sure you smash a few goals in past the scum.

Although I would like to see Jimmy back - not for that sort of money I'm afraid. All the best to him - hopefully it will be sorted soon, then we can all move on!

The Tomonator:

Those words and the concepts linked to them are inferred in pretty much every keep-my-options open quote Jimmy has given about Town since he went back to Hull.

Don't get me wrong, at one level I can't blame him - at another level I am rather sickened by I'll-go-absolutely-anywhere-players pretending to be something they're not.

The fans are the loyal ones, the players just expendible money-chasers.

That's life and that's fine - I just feel a little bit quesy when something other than this is suggested...

Jimmy Bullard is (but not limited to) in order:
1) a man
2) a businessman
3) a man whose business is football
4) a businessman not wanted by his current company
5) a businessman who nevertheless doesn't have to leave his current company
6) a man who may or may not actually be interested in conducting his business elsewhere
7) a man who may or may not accept that 6 means reduced income which clashes with 2.
8) a man actively wanted by other companies
9) a man who previously and recently worked with one of those companies under a still not entirely clear temporary business arrangement
10 ) a man who said he would be happy to carry out 6, effectively discounting 2 to exist at the business mentioned in 9

Now anyone tell me they still think he will be at Portman Road next seaon.

Simple facts are he is going nowhere until he does a deal with Hull.

No-one is going to pay a fee to Hull for him.

if he negotiates a settlement and becomes a free agent then he can choose. Until then Hull it is.

It is not about money because that has already been decided when Hull signed him. Bullard WILL be paid 45K per week by Hull next year. It's about where JB wants to play. He can do more or less what he likes including nothing and still pick up that wage.

Its not about being "loyal", if hull will only let him go out on loan to a club who is prepared to pay his full wages. they obv wont let us only pay £15k of it lol

He would only have one choice :)

Changingman, whilst you have stated that those comments were inferred, you have put them in speech anotations and also included (sic) which highlights a spelling or grammatical error which is not that of the writers (i.e. not yours), however, for a spoken or grammatical error to have occured he must have either said them or written them down - which you have confirmed he didn't - sorry to be a pedant, but if you're going to have a pop at somebody (for the words they use) then do it properly.

I agree with half your statement, in that we the fans are the loyal ones, but then this is our club, the players are the employees and if, like the majority of employed people out there, they actually hate their employers, I'm sure they couldn't give a **** where they work!

People who think that footballers love their club and believe the badge kissing bull**** are deluded. Those players are few and far between and also generally depends on 1) how good they are and 2) how good the club was they started at (I assure you that Giggs wouldn't have been a one club man had he started off at Sheffied Wednesday!)

I really do think some of our supporters have only one brain cell between them and that is defective.....why would you think Jimmy Bullard would be loyal to Ipswich? He is not an Ipswich boy....he did not come up through our youth system....he was not really an Ipswich player he was a loan player.....he was only here for three months yes he loved his time here, and yes he would love to come back but knows it is not likely.........Some of you retards think he needs to prove himself by giving up a small fortune to come pay for us especially when he is so near to the end of his career? He owes us NOTHING.....we owe him as he was a major reason we pulled away from the relegation zone last season........ye he will sign on loan for QPR if the agree to pay his wages of £45,000 pw....we certainly wouldn't.

Instead of name calling though I think you lot should show a little gratitude to the man he did well for us.....but you need to be realistic....how many of you would be willing to give up a £3m lottery win?

i never heard this 'loyal' tag that CHANGINGMAN is on about and at the end of the day i dont give a phuk what all of you have said on here cos your all wrong!
(dont give the krap about opinion ya still all wrong)
45k a week or not we should welcome him with open arms and try to do a deal and get him in because he is pure class!!!
you lot must of been blind!
get this we are trying to go up!
and we need players of his qaulity

distractored added 17:35 - Jul 8
Y'know I can see a possibility we could end up borrowing him again.

Sure Hull have said anyone wanting him has to pay his $45,000 a week salary. But they would say that wouldn't they?

Fact of it is they will be stuck paying that amount unless anyone else thinks he's worth that wages. I'm thinking no-one else does. So in the end Hull could be forced to take what they can get, which might just be what we can afford.

Just being optimistic here.

churchmans and distractored --- I agree entirely. In addition he gave me and my grandson lots of enjoyment in the short time he was at PR. Love to have him back, but the money may be too much.

Hull will ship him out to the best offer, however, Jimmy has to agree to go as he is perfectly entitled to sit tight and continue to draw his 45K.

JB will not be at Portman Rd..!! Why I love how people moan about him earning money!! Would you go and work with someone else for half the wage? Of course not!! So stfu !!!
