Peters Makes Bournemouth Debut
Peters Makes Bournemouth Debut
Sunday, 25th Sep 2011 13:38

Jaime Peters made his debut for loan club Bournemouth yesterday as the Cherries lost 2-1 at home to Hartlepool. The Canadian, who is with the League One side for an initial month, played on the right wing for Lee Bradbury’s side before being replaced in the 83rd minute.

Elsewhere, Andy Drury was subbed after 17 minutes of Crawley’s 1-0 win at Aldershot. The midfielder, who is with the League Two side for three months with a view to a permanent switch, suffered an ankle injury but it’s not thought to be a serious problem.

Youngster Jamie Griffiths came on as a 90th minute sub as Plymouth got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Macclesfield at Home Park on what had been declared Fans Reunited Day at the crisis club, whose situation finally seems to be looking more positive.

Town were amongst the many clubs represented on the Pilgrims’ terraces yesterday, while Danish Blues fan Torben Christensen’s auction of a shirt signed by Matt Holland to raise funds for Argyle's Green Taverners ends later today.

Subbed after 83 minutes on his debut ? Perhaps he's a bit game rusty ?

I rather doubt any of these three will play for Town again. Shame, really.

I had a quick look at the bournemouth after match report, and it said jamie had a fine debut and seemed like he played well, shame pj won't give him a chance in our team he never let us down

@itfc_jew The idea that Peters has never let us down is a popular myth. His last appearance for us in the cup was a real eye opener, he looked scared of the ball and was totally inept, going backwards and sideways and almost refusing to support a very frustrated JET. Don't get me wrong, I like Peters and think he could still come good, but it's not like he hasn't had his chances here. He needs a fresh start to give him a new challenge and confidence will come from playing for a team nearer his own level. He rightly has very little hope of a future at ITFC.

I've always liked Peters but he has never really got a look in under PJ, he hasn't helped himself either by playing poorly against Northampton, hope he does come good!

Hate to say it, but players like peters are not good enough to get us promoted. Too many weaknesses. Having said that, he was by no means our worst player under keane, magilton. He looked better than what he is because the rest were so dour.

Bournmouth played him in one of his preferred positions. What a good idea!!!
