![]() Wednesday, 19th Oct 2011 14:29 Academy midfielder Jonny Leddy netted a 32nd minute penalty as the Republic of Ireland U17s hammered Liechtenstein 8-0 in the opening game of their European Championships qualification mini-group in Kazakhstan this morning. The first-year academy scholar was subbed after 69 minutes with his side seven goals to the good. The goal was Leddy's second in his three U17 appearances. Ireland face the hosts on Friday and the Czech Republic next Monday.
