Drury Given Crawley Cup Go-Ahead
Drury Given Crawley Cup Go-Ahead

Town have given Crawley permission to play on-loan midfielder Andy Drury in their FA Cup first round tie against Bury at Gigg Lane on Saturday. Drury is with the Red Devils until mid-December, although could join them on a permanent basis in January.

Earlier this week Drury was named in the League Two Team of the Week, having scored the second goal of his nine-game spell in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Hereford.

I think even if he does come back in Jan - i would want him to have the experience of playing in the cup for them.

good work PJ

Very ufortunate. Should have been given a decent run at the expense of Leadbooter

Might as well get rid now.

He has had so few chances for the first team I can only think he must be disappointing in training or Jewell just doesn't rate him

i agree with yorks as i believe that given a run of games he'd be better that GL. He's got better delivery for free-kicks etc and will score, something GL hasn't done for many a day. Plus he has more presence in midfield with his height and strength. somehow i doubt PJ will keep him whatever he achieves at Crawley.

Bloomin' shame that he has not broken into the first team. He added height and strength to our midfield that I thought our team lacked. He must feel quite down about it all, but wish him good luck for the future if he does go in January. Maybe PJ did not feel he was quick enough, but signing him in January must have raised his expectations of making to a very high level. Bloomin' shame for whatever reason. Pity.

People seem to forget this is actually PJ's signing. What does that say about the man. See the usual excuses from the deluded PJ lovers are coming out. Bottom line is like many of his signings, Drury is not good enough. Goodness, PJ's first signing ALREADY shipped out. Jewell really is a liability. How low do attendnaces need to fall before people realise this?

PJ's signings arnt good enough? i disagree, where would we be without Chopra and Andrew's goals? or the chances created by Cressie? or the saves made by Stockdale? i know Stocks and Keith are on loan but they're still signings by PJ
