But ME's stated policy of developing our talented youths into first steamers would be paying rich dividends by now but for the calamitous long term injuries to Bishop, Dozzell, Nydam, Lancaster, Morris, Folami etc. Bishop alone should be worth £20 million by now given his ability and pace. Lancaster looked another star in the making but has now been out for a season. Selling on youngsters like them ( however reluctantly) would improve our FFP standing and surely allow the manager a decent amount to reinvest in new players. At least Downes and Wolf are developing fast. Surely at least they can steer clear of the dreaded serious ACL curse. | |
