Lambert keeps up his form of making 5 changes every game. Exactly what I feared might happen when he brought in his raft of loan players. Unsurprisingly Town looked like a team of strangers. Lambert started this by failing to build on the promising performance against Blackpool by making 5 changes for Peterborough. None of the loan players performed with any distinction tonight. Thomas flatters, but tries to cut inside every time. Parrott & Matheson were both awful. Judge, who played well against Blackpool, made a difference after coming on as did Norwood, but that sums up Town - a shapeless mess, with the manager having no idea who should play each week & invariably getting it wrong. This is becoming a re-run of Jewell's last few games, with a team stuffed full of loan players (which Lambert said he wouldn't do) looking like a rabble. I always want Town to win, but if Lambert will be fired once we can't mathematically make the play offs, the sooner it happens, the better. | |
