I had thought there was a train from Shenfield to Ipswich today but it appears there is a bus between Shenfield and Ingatestone.
I may therefore drive to Ingatestone instead, but am not sure if it will be easy to park there.
It's not an issue at Shenfield because there are a couple of large car parks.

Most of the car park is taken out by rail replacement buses, think it’ll be difficult to park there today.
Easier to just get the bus from Shenfield I would think, that or drive further down the A12. |  |

It’s worse than normal at Ingatestone today too, people queuing back onto the platform to get the bus south and then another train came in. | |

As it turned out I got to the Shenfield area much earlier than expected because the M25 was pretty quiet, so I decided to venture on to Ingatestone. I managed to park on a side road pretty close to the station whose yellow lines didn't work on a Saturday. There was little evidence of others doing the same, so it was easy to find a space. It also saved me the £6 for parking that I usually pay at Shenfield, as well as a long queue for the bus back to Shenfield. | | | |

I got on a bus quite quickly yesterday but the last mile into Newbury Park was even slower than normal. Just more frustration for me yesterday. | |
