MM made the point that when Edwards came on, Davis pushed himself out to a wide advanced position which meant Edwards had to operate more centrally, whereas MM wanted Edwards to be the one who hugged the touchline given the threat he offers. MM made the same point after an earlier game (Lincoln?). This sounds right to me because we really didn't get the full benefit of Edwards when he came on when it struck me that this was the type of game when we really needed his ability to unpick a stubborn defence.
