Saw them lose to Chaves last season. Don’t recall the tickets being cheap so perhaps there’s a tourist tax for one off games!
Looked up the fixtures when back there earlier this month and realised the season hadn’t started properly (think there’d been a cup game before we arrived). Was hoping one of the big teams would be over so was surprised to see that they’d just been relegated, having been in the Primeira since 1985!
Did you watch the Sunderland game out anywhere? There were loads of Leeds watching their game before us but no other Towen for ours from what I could tell. |  | | |

Always had a soft spot for Maritimo. Used to visit Madeira every year, and go to the Savoy, before my parents bought a villa in Calheta. | |

Yep, Moynihan’s was where we ended up watching it. Spoke to them earlier in the afternoon and they put it on the screen outside which was good (Community Shield inside). A Leeds fan was trying to persuade them to show their next game via LUTV!
Next time we’ve got a game on when I’m over there I’ll add a thread to see who’s about. Madeira’s come up quite a few times on here so would probably be others in Funchal. | | | |
