I fancied a pair of tickets for the England v Sri Lanka Test.
Just received the following email from Surrey CCC:
"Congratulations Dermot!
With almost 70,000 entrants into The Kia Oval 2024 international Ticket Ballot, you have been successful and secured the right to purchase international tickets.
You have been allocated EIGHT tickets to England Women's IT20 against New Zealand."
I don't know if i ticked the wrong boxes, but I doubt I will be taking up this option! |  |

Ha, exactly the same as I got. Second year in a row I’ve been offered lesser tickets than I wanted having missed out the year before because the Queen died.
First year I’ve got nothing in the Lord’s ballot too so I’m quite pissed off, bad enough charging over £100 a ticket but getting harder to actually get them. |  |

Now I was at The Oval for the first day of the South Africa Test & not a ball bowled so I got a refund & went off for a late lunch after beers with my mate, so not a bad day.
I was also going to Lords for South Africa & we were delayed after horrendous rail transport issues. just got there in time to hear England's 3rd wicket go down for 42 & England 100-5 at lunch. 7 overs bowled after lunch & England 116-6 before it pi$$ed down & that was it for the day. I'd seen 12 overs bowled but because over 25 overs bowled in the day NO refund from my £120. | |
