It’s time to drop the imposter syndrome 11:44 - Dec 17 with 386 viewsCopfordBlue

We’re half way through the season, playing great football and breaking records along the way. We deserve to be where we are. The disappointment at only drawing yesterday underlines how far we’ve come in 2023. We’re not where we are by some fluke, it’s because we’ve got a great team and a fantastic manager.

Leeds drew at home to Coventry yesterday. A couple of weeks ago we beat them more comfortably than the 2-1 scoreline suggested. After so many years in the doldrums, I completely get the cautiousness and not wanting to get carried away but by any objective measure we are more than capable of getting at least a draw on Saturday and beating Leicester on Boxing Day. For all the general positivity among supporters, far too many seem to have written off the next two games and will treat any points gained as a bonus. I’m sure the team and management are confident of at least 4 points from the 2 games and 7 more points before New Year.

Poll: Most enjoyable calendar year as an Ipswich supporter
