Well that’s a bad day at the office 17:59 - Dec 23 with 713 views | _clive_baker_ | All round really. Results not going in our favour, not least ours of course. Don’t think we played well by our own standards, but equally there are levels and you have to say Leeds when they play like that look every bit a premier league side. That’s what 10’s of millions and £50k a week wages gets you though, if anything it only serves to underline how ridiculous it is that we’re half way through the season and 7 points above them and Southampton. We need to not catastrophise that and make sure it doesn’t become self fulfilling and more damaging than it is, which ultimately is just 1 defeat. We’re in an incredible position at the half way stage, we don’t play Leeds again and now we’ve been there, Watford, Southampton, Sunderland, Boro, West Brom, Bristol City etc. Some of the toughest away trips chalked off and we sit in a remarkable position. 23 games left, it’s all in our hands. There will be better days than today but that’s football innit, got to draw a line under it and go again. | | | | |
