He may be offered 5m anyway and that might be average or above for the PL and massive to ITFCbut if we lose him the football style might be' copied' by an Edwards etc 😔 or the new guy throws out half the squad and starts again.We will almost certainly be relegated.Only mcK can keep up up I feel as his football is PL style plus he has the amazing team spirit of the current players and can add maybe 5 new to supplement and improve .There is no one else that can do a better job with us ......because we can get someone huge in and they will chuck everyone out but will want hugely expensive replacements which will be impossible under ffp
He's probably very tempted by Chelsea but the players and fans won't think he's good enough ...Potter lost to player power, not just tactics .He might be hanging out till utd probably lose Saturday but utd have wanted Poch for ages so now he's available I don't see mcK having much of a chance ....plus until Sir Jim clears out the lazy disinterested Rashfords etc who have constantly not 'played for ' ETH , Rangnick Olle to an extent and considered McK as just a 'coach' he will struggle with respect
That's leaves Brighton.Fairly established but in decline unless they get another good manager .Yes great scouting etc but they sell all the talent 'to make a profit. Bloom is not hands off like mc K has here .If Mc K gets offered 5m he should stay ...sign a one year contract maybe even pay him 10m to make sure with an option of a rolling year after where the pay goes from 10 to 2 if relegated but stays at 10 whilst he keeps signing and we are in PL ...We need him for this year ....its absolutely vital .
Only managers I see that could be fine and are not crazy targets are Potter and O Neil ,Frank, Dych ( massive change in style 😒) or Silva .It will be a struggle to attract anyone above Edwards in reality being realistic [Post edited 23 May 12:00]
