Just round the corner from me at 48 Delph Lane. Interestingly I went to Leeds at a time when there were still a few third year hippies about, but punk and short hair styles had largely taken their place. At heart I was (and still am) a punk, but not when it came (or comes) to outward appearances. And the bands at the university in my first year take some beating, with bands like the Ramones, Clash and Stranglers and Jam in the first couple of months. [Post edited 7 Jul 2024 11:05]

yes, i was on hartley avenue (student house rather than squat!) for several years and it was a great place to live |  |
