The last few days of local news in the South West has been dominated with misty-eyed well wishing for Charlotte Dujardin, as she pursues her dream of another equestrian medal at the Paris Olympics.
Lovely soft-focus footage of her stroking and kissing her horses as she gently feeds them handfuls of hay…
Fast forward 24 hours and it turns out she actually just whips and kicks them if they don’t dance properly.
Beautifully timed footage emerges of her callous disregard for animal welfare, just as she slips her final and most treasured whip into the suitcase…
We put a stop to Gerry Cottle years ago, time now to consign this legalised cruelty to a similar bin.
