Half Time - as bad as you’d expect 16:04 - Jan 25 with 484 viewsNeverSayDie

Observations

Manager / starting 4 at the back in this game, following 0-6 last week, fookin mental, has to take responsibility, again, for how easy we’ve been to play through
Morsy - waste of space, never in the right position, slow and when he does have it, gives it away to the opposition 9 times out of ten, midfield might as well not be on the pitch, played through like they’re not there
Delap - simply cannot control a ball and his runs off the ball aren’t good enough
Davis - getting absolutely humiliated by Salah, the one he scored from a tight angle, Davis just left him on his own behind him, awful defending
Phil G - looks completely lost on the left and has ZERO understanding or chemistry with Davis, it doesn’t work, play him in his usual position!!
Johnson - sub him on for Burns?!?! WTF McK, give Enciso some minutes ffs

Full time observations

Once the subs came on, we actually posed a threat going forward, for the first time in the match and it wasn’t due to Liverpool taking their foot off the gas.

Townsend - instantly shut Salah down and gave us threat going forward, lovely ball in for Hirst, as an all round LB at this level, he is WAY better than Davis, sorry but he is, he can defend. cross the ball and hit a much better dead ball than Davis, I’d start him at LB
Enciso - absolute ball of energy, ran around loads and was a constant threat, looked great on the ball and what a delivery for Greaves goal, should have been instead of Johnson (as I said at half time)
Broadhead - looked comfortable again, not perfect, but rounded players and made some good passes, which was a lot more than Phil G offered
Hirst - what a bloody awful header, but makes far better runs than Delap and chases defenders down, makes himself far busier than Delap appears to and without the stupid yellow cards

That final score was perfectly respectable and to score a goal at anfield, is bloody wonderful. We were never going to beat the Liverpools and City’s, but we can beat other teams.

COYFB’s!!!!!!!
