I’ve no idea on our best 11, worryingly I don’t think KM does either.
The football is slow, ponderous and predictable. The patterns of play often lead to a dead end.
Our defence is a mess, not helped by Cajuste watching players run by him.
Our attacking 4 haven’t any form of a partnership in sight. Strangers playing weekly, with a flash of genius from Philogene, seemingly thrives at home, and gets left on the bench lastnight.
Our transfers in the summer were weird. Like we sat thinking ‘of course they’ll come to us, we are big time’
Then we got left with a random mix of good players that don’t fit the system at all.
We spend £12m on McAteer, he doesn't attack his full back, crosses hit the man 5 yards away from him, he hasn't beaten his man. That signing has completely blown me away.
Nunez is weak and brushed aside a number of times in the middle.
£17m on a lad settling into the English game is put in at Boro away, and doesn’t start in a home game where he'll be more comfortable.
I would love to hear Ashtons spin on where we are currently, as it’s simply not good enough. If we aren't careful we are going to waste this HUGE opportunity/advantage that we've got this season.
7 changes falls on KM - such a lack of respect to Charlton. Lastnight was easily the lowest point of his time as manager here, the football, fight and personality on the pitch was horrific in that 2nd half. I hope he and the players are as embarrassed today as i was watching it. |  | | |  |

Starting to remind me of the post demolition ,Paul Cook era..
Where we had an expensively built squad full of talent (by L1 standards at the time).
But lacked that "something".
Feels like we've gone backwards last couple of games..
WBA game is massive now.
I'm all for a bit of rotation to keep things fresh in a 3 game week.
But 7 changes seems a lot to me. Especially when some players are still working on partnerships on field.. |  | | |

I'm not sure. We were as good as we have been all season in the first half with our link ups and how we ran them around. But again their keeper didn't have any saves to make after the first 10 minutes.
