Has anybody here ever put a Linux image on an old touchscreen as identified above. The above image uses up loads of resources and I think I can put on a Linux image and use it as a non phone entity.
Any advice?

Repurpose old android 4.2.2 phone on 10:03 - Nov 16 with 478 views
Is the bootloader unlocked, and what Linux image did you have in mind?
Depending on the popularity of the phone, there might well be a community of people with custom ROMs already available.
I used to do it reguarly but haven't in a few years and the scene has dried up a bit as the companies have locked the phones down more and over the years which is a shame.

I dont think the bootloader is unlocked on this old phone. Not sure for definite. I dont have a particular image in mind as such. I just dont want all the Android 4.2.2 bloatware on there. I was just hoping for something a bit slicker to manage bits and pieces around the house and I feel that this love old tiny touch screen phone would be ideal for it. I have not done this before. But I thought it was worthwhile making use of it. The model is a sony C2105 which was also called an xperia L. Any advice will be cool.
