The high speed train was great, make sure you book early to ensure you get a seat.
They are clean fast and cheap.

Echo this - fast train was decent, Samarkand and Bukhara well worth a visit. Not sure what else you're planning for the trip but I highly recommend Kyrgyzstan if you can fit it in - spectacular scenery. We combined both countries, one of the most surprisingly good holidays I've been on. |  |

Ah cool - if you end up opting for Kyrgyzstan we organized everything through CBT - arrived and just sorted when we got there. A friend was working in Bishkek at the time and recommended them. | |
