essentially the knowledge when and where to release the ball rather than hold on to it for too long
he has been a very good signing and should get better and better under McKenna and staff

Thats something which improves with understanding and familiarity with teammates. Instinctively knowing where they're likely to be and the situational options he has.

He's slotted in so well it can be hard to remember Mehmeti has only been in the squad for six weeks.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Agreed, but I think we have been guilty of that all season. Jaden, Clarke, Cajuste, Akpom, Egile etc etc have all had moments where they've dithered on quick breaks and not shot/passed. It's been frustrating and not sure if its a lack of confidence or whatever but it has cost us a few times. I think this is what McKenna is referring to when bemoaning "execution" tbh.

Burns seems to be the one who plays with that conviction to hit the cross early most of the time.
