This team looks like it thought after Saturday we can just turn up and roll over a dogged Portsmouth side. Completely contrary to McKennas comments in the pre match.
What was the game plan tonight? We created very, very little.
Why the changes to the CB pairing?
Taylor was one of our best players Saturday - why not start him? He is literally the perfect player for a game like this. I would be fuming if I was him. O’Neil poor again - I have not been impressed with him.
For a team that rotates to keep people fresh we look very tired in areas.
I’ve said this earlier in the season and I’m trying to not have a massive head loss given current league position but I just don’t think this team actually has the mentality. Looks like we over celebrated with face time calls to Ed on Saturday and look like we have dumped everything into that game. The loss tonight is now a poor return on the last 2 games and over shadows derby day delight.
I really don’t think we have the mentality for the play offs. Let’s hope that’s not needed.
