False position 09:43 - Apr 15 with 289 views

This isn't just reacting to last nights disappointing performance. But I have felt we are not a team playing like a side fighting for a Premier League spot. That says more about the quality of the league this year - but you watch us and think "they cant really be in the top 2?"

You watch us recently - last night and against Birmingham at home especially - and our midfield is non existent when we need them to keep the ball. We used to use Morsy to keep the ball and get the ball moving up the pitch. We used Cajuste last year to take it up the pitch - but this year we have Matiswa - who is a brilliant defensive midfielder - but not with the ball. You see us lose control of games as our midfield can't keep the ball.

When that happens we launch the ball up to Hirst who has been so poor this season at holding up the ball. So when sides do work hard and push us and press us well like Portsmouth and Birmingham did - then we struggle.

We have spent so much money - and the quality is lacking in this squad. And its so hard to understand - how can the championships biggest transfer offer noting when brought on? We defended so well on Saturday and showed so much heart and passion. Take that away - and you get a performance like last night, that showed how this side has so many flaws.

I dont want to go in the play offs as my wife is due the week of the semi final second leg - so i dont want to miss it - so please KM - getting us playing on Sunday and get us second place!
