| Transfer window progress 12:07 - Jul 26 with 615 views | PioneerBlue | In any transfer window there are a lot of moving parts. Im trying to get a handle on where we are at whilst reading views that we need anywhere between 3-6 new players on top of the business done. GON indicated last night we are still active top middle and at the back. Here is the squad as it stands, plus where many are suggesting new players are still required: 4 Walton, Parmer, Scherpen, Oevelen 4 DOS, Greaves, Kipre, Diop 6 Furlong, Leif, B Johnson, H Clarke, NEW, NEW 5 Matusiwa, Jack Taylor, Nunez, NEW, NEW 1 Humphries, Barbrook (U21) 4 McAteer, Burns, Ogbene, Fatawu 3 J Clarke, Jaden, Maeda 3 Akpom, Mehmeti, Szmodics, Sindre Walle Egeli (U21) 4 Hirst, Emersonn, Ali Al Hamadi, NEW Putting that into context Squad size now 4+4+6+5+1+4+3+3+4 = 34 Making that 9 players we need to shift from the group to accommodate 5 additions 34 = 3 gK + 5 NEW + 17 existing outfield (+2 U21) + 9 TO GO Realistically what does that mean for the squad? Obvious ones to go accommodating 5 more NEW incoming: GK 1 of Oevelen or Palmer (-1) FB 2 New H Clarke (-2) and 1 of Furlong or Ben Johnson (-3) CM 2 New 1 of Humphries (-4) and or J Taylor (-5) RW Ogbene (-6) 10 Szmodics (-7) L10 Jaden (-8) Striker AAH (-9) That gets you to the 25 man squad. That is a lot to do! From that i cant see us targeting 5 additions, that might happen but it seems high risk to settle the squad and be competitive for end of window. Im saying 3 additions LFB CM x 2 I guess we could have some loans but they count on squad numbers, whereas target buy U21s to help manage squad size. [Post edited 30 Jul 6:59]

| Transfer window progress on 07:06 - Jul 30 with 217 views | PioneerBlue | Not really seeing anything different in last nights pre season game. Except, Kipre didnt look match sharp at all, Clark and Mehmeti struggled to impact the game in opposition half, J Clarke looked like he was playing for a contract somewhere, Humphries continues to impress in possession not sure out of possession, Akpom could easily work as a 9 as third striker. Fatawu was probably stand out performance The balance is bonkers, how many right sided players versus 1 natural LB. That has to change! | |

How do you play in a way you are looking for a contract elsewhere? | | | |
