Im reading a lot about wants and needs. In any transfer window there are a lot of moving parts. Im trying to get a handle on where we are at whilst reading views that we need anywhere between 3-6 new players on top of the business done.
Here is the squad as it stands, plus where people are suggesting a new player is still required or preferred:

3 J Clarke, Jaden, Maeda
3 Akpom, Mehmeti, Szmodics, Sindre Walle Egeli (U21)
4 Hirst, Emersonn, Ali Al Hamadi, NEW
Putting that into context
Squad size now
5+4+6+5+1+4+3+3+4 = 35
Making that 10 players we need to shift to accommodate 6 additions
35 = 3 gK + 6 NEW + 16 outfield (+2 U21) + 10 TO GO
Realistically what does that mean for the squad?
Obvious ones
GK 1 of Oevelen and or Palmer retaining Button as 3rd GK (-2)
FB H Clarke and 1 of Furlong or Ben Johnson (-4)
CM 1 of Humphries and or J Taylor (-5)
RW Ogbene (-6)
10 Szmodics (-7)
L10 Jaden (-8)
Striker AAH and or Hirst (-10)
That surgery gets you to the 25 man squad. That is a lot to do and presents us with a hardly recognisable squad!
From that i cant see us targeting 6 additions, we might but that seems quite high risk to settle the squad and be competitive.
