I have 3 ST's, one for me, my partner and a third which I usually use for a mate (as with my partners). This is a hangover from the old days when me and my friends had 8 STs, where a group of us would rotate and attend games together, but family life, and people passing away over the years have diminished our group. This used to be something a few groups did back in the day, and something I greatly miss about going to games now.
Whats weird is while the club have continued to take the DD for all three tickets, they have decided to sell my third ticket and the seat is no longer mine. I have only just discovered this when trying to send it over for a mate for Saturday. Their initial reasoning was this was a mistake, and then that has changed to the ST was being "under used", so they had the right to sell my seat under the new club rules, even though they were still taking money for it, and did not communicate to me, and that the seat was provably occupied by me, or a friend for 99% of the games last season and only wasn't when it wasn't resold on the odd occasions it was put up.
Of course I am going to take that up, and either get my third seat back or a refund for the months they have taken, but it feels like they are using the new rules to cover for a cck up at the ticket office but it does highlight for me, while promotions and Premier League football is nice on paper, we, the regular working class supporter are going to be treated more and more like paying cattle as things progress, and I don't like that one bit.
I would advise those with family/friends tickets to double check they all have theirs ahead of the game tomorrow. [Post edited 22 Aug 4:38]

Just to note, club haven't been helpful on this one, one bit. They have clearly made an admin error, and it seems like everything is total chaos regarding the system. Gig tickets have worked fine this way for almost a decade, so why are they making such a meal of this? [Post edited 22 Aug 4:00]

Quick question, when you say it was used 99% of the time, was it constantly being forwarded to different people rather than the named person on the season ticket? |  | | |
