Looking at these reports surely they are pure speculation and the player would not want to drop down the leagues?

It very much feels like this is his time to prove himself at this level and proved why he is a solid squad asset Saturday with the excellent winning goal.

Mehmeti on the other hand to Derby, Middlesborough or Birmingham makes a lot of sense and ideally on a perm deal and at a profit.

In my view, Clarke was the only proven impact forward player we had on the bench on Saturday, so to get rid of him would seem a bit strange.

and he seemed to be our best penalty taker last season.
And now that Hirst has gone I don't know who our most likely penalty takers are. I'd guess at Enciso as well as Clarke.
