People always say we should "play the Ipswich way". What is that exectly? Over the years I've seen many styles of football at Portman Road from Robson (just about), Ferguson, Duncan right through to McCarthy. A lot of it was exactly total football. The Ipswich way (to me) is exactly what we've just done in appointing Hurst. A young up and coming young manager (Robson anyone? Burley anyone? Heck, even Duncan was supposed to be the next big thing!) We don't do big names at our club. We MAKE them. If Hurst becomes a big name, it'll be because he's succeeded at Portman Road. We're about the up and coming, be it players, coaches or managers. I'm looking forward to this new era. | |
