Thought the first half was played with real quality and control. We played some really good football at times. I thought anything that was sent Keane's way, he made stick, and this didn't matter whether the ball into him was with quality or not - his touch is excellent and he's a much better footballer than Norwood. We deserved to be in front at the break. The second half whilst we didn't create next to nothing, was a real professional job from Norris to the two up top. Norris delayed every goal kick (one in particular I reckon he took over 45seconds before he kicked). The back 3 dealt with everything in the air, down the channels, into the Lincoln's strikers feet. Downes and Huws upped the physicality levels, slowed the game down on the ball but also kept things ticking over. The front 3 never stopped pressing and running. Really happy with how we defended from the front as a team with our pressing. Hard work beats talent. I think that's the first game since season we've dominated for 90mins and dictated the whole game. Fantastic performance. | |
