Comfort zone? 18:57 - Feb 29 with 517 views | jasondozzell | To be fair to the players I think ever since Mick we've had a good set of characters who work hard and are never lacking in effort, even if results poor. Can't remember many if any games in last 8 years where players didn't work hard and put in effort. Perhaps the last few Hurst games? But despite that maybe they've become a little too comfortable? Remember Didzy comments? They know Evans isn't going to invest and that their place is prob secure because club is depending on them. They've made it to a big club and happy here - that's no bad thing. But maybe culture at club is too comfortable. Like Mick Mills said re rotation, you need players to feel like they have to earn a starting place. We need to be more ruthless and competitive across whole club. That fight and desire to prove yourself is in players like Downes but are we lacking it as a squad a bit? That ruthless edge. Of course bigger problem is Evans mismanagement and the fact that football finances have overtaken him. And Lambert mistakes. [Post edited 29 Feb 2020 18:57]

The buck stops at the top, there is no ambition from the owner, no ambition from the players, so why should there be any from the fans week after week. Think this will be reflected in ST sales though. | |
