Whilst currently watching the 2020 ITFC team in FA Cup action and seeing how poor we really are in an earily quiet Portman Road it made me think of the superb players we have had over the years playing their socks off in this competition, they were the real deal, now its like a tribute band has been assembled, not as good as the original, in fact just wearing the blue shirt is really the only connection.
Even the stadium has lost its sparkle from those days under Sir Bobby up to George Burley and even in MM early days.
Nostaligic yes, realist yes, disappointed yes
