Feels so different to last December 12:17 - Oct 29 with 881 viewsHipsterectomy

When we played Charlton and were a shambles. We now have a coach we all trust, an excellent coaching team, players who know what they're doing. At Charlton last season I had no idea where we could go from here. We had a great squad on paper, but were pathetic in the league. We were then being linked to Neil Harris, Marc Bircham, Neil Warnock, Frank Lampard.

Thank God things have taken the turn they have

Although I wouldn’t trade McKenna for anyone now.. I do think warnock would have done a job here.

I remember the fury first over being linked with Harris, then not hiring him.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I had just come around to accepting Harris as at one point it looked like it was just him left

Neil Warnock managing this set of players would be a crime. He could have done a job for us after Mick and before McKenna, but I'm glad we never went there.

IMO he would have done a much better job than Lambert or Cook with what they had available, quite likely we'd be in the championship now had he come. But then we'd likely never have had Gamechanger or McKenna.

Well he's certainly a better manager than both of them, but that team was wishy washy to say the least so I don't know about promotion. Having said that, we came pretty close considering how poor we were so you may well be right - he was a master of promotions after all.

Totally agree.. and I still wouldn’t change the way things have panned out.. so much more of a nicer vibe to the club.. real club spirit to everything.
