I think Wolf, Young and Ogbene will see a fair bit of game time through rotation.
Burns is a very effective player in the Champ so can see him having a strong season.
And I’d really love to see to Cam get proper time on the pitch with us this year. And Chaplin.

Yeah the depth we’ve got now is really good (and necessary), especially if we can add a couple more over the coming weeks. Horses for courses on a game by game basis and decent cover for injuries and suspensions etc. | | | |

I think ultimately Young will get the nod ahead of Johnson but I do like Johnson and think he’s definitely got something about him, at a level down to the one he’s been used to he should be tidy. Not to be a pedant but Matusiwa & Cajuste will switch, with Jens left of the 2.
Philogene’s injury is a right sucker punch, I’m hoping it’s not too bad. When fit I can’t see him playing off the right although he has done before, and that’s probably the answer if you want all 3 of those in the side (in a post Omari world). More likely I think we prioritise system & shape over personnel and he and Clarke share that left sided role.
Ogbene is an interesting one. Unpopular opinion but I wasn’t over the moon when we signed him tbh, felt like an awful lot of money for him and a touch desperate at the time but at Championship level he’s one we need to get a tune out of this season and get some value from. |  | | |

He only stopped playing a few weeks ago given he was in the U21's, he's hardly going to be unfit.
We have no real idea what the reason for missing the friendly was, they may have discussed it since then.
I think if there is any chance he's fit and available then he plays.

Cajuste coming is the big one, changes the entire complexion of the squad.
Matusiwa and Cajuste will be the absolute heartbeat of the side, and could be for many years to come. Still a lot of moving parts in the window I think, but far far more relaxed with the a stellar signing of Cajuste coming in to partner Matusiwa now. |  | | |
