Go back to supporting Liverpool or Chelsea 12:39 - Aug 22 with 313 viewsCopfordBlue

I bet if I looked back at the forum there would be more positivity and excitement when we signed balint bajner, Ryan Stephenson , Piotr malarczyk, Mustafa Carayol, Barry Cotter and numerous others than there is today.

A minority of our current fan base need to switch their allegiance back to their “first” team of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea or whoever it is because I just can’t believe that anyone who’s really supported the club for more than the last few years would be so complaining in response to our signings this summer.

I’m not a “happy clapper” nor am I content just to watch this opportunity slip past us but the negativity from some that seems to greet almost every new player we are linked with and nearly every signing - “not good enough” “underwhelming” “ paid too much” etc is more appropriate for armchair fans of the big premier league clubs than us.

One season in the top division in the last 23, 4 recent seasons in league one, 21 years without a promotion before KM joined. Some people either have very short memories or are only here now because of our recent success. Either way. Ipswich Town really isn’t the club for you.

Kind of got to agree with that, sitting in the upper north on a freezing Tuesday night with frost on me knees & thinking they need to make the pitch outline in a different colour, only to watch the club slide in to an ever decreasing spiral of gloom & doom.
What a change in the last 2-3 years, embrace it & support whoever is in the shirt preferably not an “ ex budgie” but if he puts his heart in to it then I’d gladly have him wherever he’s from.
