I think some of the frustrations from the fanbase is down to the fact that we have grown used to McKenna making “average” players considerably better. But it has taken time, his first part-season wasn’t great and it feels like the squad we have now is reminiscent of that initial League One squad (but at a level higher). The problem now is that rather than over-performing, players like Hirst, Johnson and Szmodics seemed to have regressed. So now it’s time for McKenna to pull out all the stops and figure out how they can improve. I still think we’re in a pretty good position and hoping the traditional early spring good form continues this year. Also hope Hirst takes this opportunity he has as (just about) number one striker and realises this could well be his last chance at a top Championship / nearly Prem club

Poll: Who would you rather see lose their job?

No question, KM is a top quality coach, players have stated on this very website that he's improved them. Top quality manager? For me the jury's out. Get us promoted back to the PL at the end of this season, get us stabilised there after and push on. I won't need the jury. Until then.....
