Marquee Moon and Adventure were tremendous. I had the latter on red vinyl.

So many from that era passing on.

I think my copy of 'Adventure' is red vinyl too, haven't looked at it in years (unlike 'Marquee Moon' which is a stone cold classic.) For years I thought Fred Smith was the same Fred 'Sonic' Smith from the MC5 and husband of Patti but eventually Wikipedia put me right. Nevertheless the Television one was almost as iconic and if it wasn't for Verlaine and Lloyd's sheer brilliance he and Billy Ficca would be more acknowledged as a rhythm unit to rival Wyman and Watts or Fleetwood and MCVie. Will be sorely missed.

[Edit: Television's later albums are worth investigation for a resurgence in style, content and inventiveness too, just none of that initial dazzle that 'Marquee Moon' had.}
