| Butcher: Invisible Wounds 22:35 - May 16 with 591 views | didsburyblue | Last night I was privileged to be invited to the premiere at King Street Cinema (Corn Exchange) of ‘Butcher: Invisible Wounds’, the documentary film about Terry Butcher. Yes, I was always going to watch it because of the Ipswich connection. However, irrespective of this it’s genuinely one of the best documentary-films I’ve ever seen. A film that goes far beyond football, raising awareness of the horrors of PTSD and mental health amongst forces veterans. A film that will envoke every emotion possible whilst you watch it. It’s being shown at King Street Cinema from next Friday for a few screenings and I’d strongly advise anyone local to keep an eye on the listings and go and see it. Alternatively, it is going to be broadcast on ITV 1 & 4 next month to coincide with the World Cup. Watch it, you won’t be disappointed | | | | |

No. Whilst the narratives are interwoven to an extent, it does follow a chronological timeline, therefore there’s a good amount of time (I’d say at least 50%) dedicated to Terry’s career before the focus switches. | | | |
