Indeed. And I know tabloids have been doing this stuff forever but it felt not so long ago their mission was mostly focused on bringing down those in power who deserved a shoeing. Sure there was plenty of celeb nonsense in there too but it felt as if they were broadly trying to do the right thing and expose hypocrisy and corruption.

Now they’re out of touch (see the Sun’s misjudged outrage over Beckham kissing his kid), clickbaiting, agenda-pushing vermin.
