Tell us how much more it is costing for Evans to run the club in proportion to the cost when he first took over?
I suppose what I’m getting at it when did we reach the point when Evans felt he had been outstripped by changing football finances.
There are many reasons why we are in this mess and It’s clear that it’s not all financial (leadership, structure etc don’t all have to cost the earth) but can’t help but feel that ultimately he’s not been prepared to fund a team that should be at least competitive in the championship. That might be unfair, but we sold Cresswell, Mings, Murphy, Waghorn, Webster etc for good money. I know wages are investment as much as fees but did he make a conscious decision in 2012 to pull plug?
