The last couple of days have been surreal 15:06 - Feb 17 with 273 viewsDublinBlue84

Whatever you think about the Blue Action protest, their actions and what has happened since has escalated the situation at the club and allowed them to gather momentum over the past few days.

It's opened up the eyes of the national media to what has been going on and that is something that is only likely to hasten the departure of Lambert from our club you would have thought,. Drysdale's actions last night have helped with this as well as they've given another reason for the club to be thrusted in front of the media on a wider scale.

If it wasn't for his contract and/or we were in normal times, there's no way a manager would have been able to survive what has happened over the past couple of days, when you add that to what has gone on previously. His position would simply be untenable.

Right now it seems we have a manager who doesn't care if he gets sacked because he'd quite like the pay off and an owner who doesn't really want to pay him off. Essentially whilst all this is happening, damage is being done to the club. As a club, we cannot afford to stand idly by whilst more and more damage is done.

Evans needs to pull the trigger right now and bite that bullet. I understand it's a lot of money, but the longer he leaves it, the more damage that will be done to the club and as custodian of our great, famous and historic club, he has a duty to act without further delay.
