Most of his football league career was in the mid 90s, Bradford where he made most of his appearances. Anyway, he’s now a youth coach in Wisconsin. My lad’s U13 team played his team last night. They are top of the table, we are bottom half and can’t buy a goal. We play our best game of the season yet lose 1-0 to a scruffy deflected goal. Such is football. It was bloody cold last night so I’m wearing my Ipswich jacket on top of four other layers. Tolson, upon seeing my jacket, smiled and said “I know you’ve just lost but this should make you happier - I once scored against Norwich. A lovely shot past Bryan Gunn.” And he’s right, that did make me feel better.
Anyhoo, that’s my not particularly interesting story for the day, just be thankful I didn’t make a blog post out of it. Now let’s beat Charlton. COYB |  |
