The three surviving Championship squad members from 2018/19 all played Saturday, two of which scored. Jackson was touted as a big signing from League One at the time, however he'd only played 1 game for Accrington in that league and his scoring record was actually from League Two. He had played with Hurst at Grimsby. Donacien was largely the same, played for Accrington for a couple of seasons in League Two. Neither were ready for Championship football at that time, or at least during such an overhaul. All three were also written off by other managers, Jackson by Lambert (who instead used such "stars" as Bennetts, Hawkins and Parrot over him) and Cook, Donacien also not used by Lambert and shipped out on loan and Wolfie was dropped by Cook.
