Hmmm, not sure if that would be the case. We clearly are at the minute given the league standing, but you wonder if Leeds actually view us as a ‘rival’ club as such?
He’s not been getting much (if any) game time this season due to Struijk and Rodon playing most weeks (think I watched a game the other week where Bryam played centre half).
Deal to be done I imagine. Or it could possibly just be a loan for 6 months. | |

I'd be extremely wary of bringing an employee of a competitor into the inner sanctum of any business on loan. I'm amazed how often football clubs do this. I know we've played Leeds twice but they'd still be feeding and watering any player they sent us.

Indeed, of course Leeds consider us a rival currently, even if it is night and day currently beyond being on a level playing field by league standings

Of course we're a rival in the short term. There's significant pressure for them to achieve promotion, and we're one of only 2 teams currently with any say in that outcome.
I'd be quite bemused if we strengthened Leeds or Southampton unless the money was completely silly, and I don't think the conditions are right for this one.

If squads are pushed up hard against their 25 man limit then there are only so many places you can sell players to as they are of a certain level - if Cresswell is one they can do without he’ll be going to a top 8-10 Champ club, and prob one not in receipt of PPs so it doesn’t leave many options if they need to trade |  |
