Tbh if i was him i'd sign a new contract with a relegation release clause in the deal ideally around the 10 mil mark to protect the club if the worst case scenario happens.

As we have seen with kompany, a yr in the prem will not see his stock shrink to such a level that other top clubs would suddenly not be interested

Meanwhile he'll be able to shape the town squad for an exciting season in the prem and by showing renewed commitment will send out the right message to potential new signings instead of jumping ship at this stage
